First off, heat rocks kill snakes. never use a heat rock on a ball python. secondly, ball pythons do not need heat lamps if you are using a plastic container. plastic containers are excellent at holding both heat and humidity (i usually have to turn the temps down and drill extra holes because my problem is too much humidity rather than not.
